The long school day was over and now we were heading towards the house. I opened my mouth to say something but once again interrupted.. ”Jung Min..” Tae woo started. “yes young master…” I answered. He was quiet for a quite long time and than startled me with his question. “Jung min my birthday is coming up soon… and I was wondering if we can celebrate together… just the two of us…” He finally said. I was shocked out of all the people he knew why had he asked me?? Why not his future fiancĂ© Chae rim or his best friend Sung Min… but me???? “Just the two of us sir??” I asked. “yes just the two of us.. I want to spend more quality time with you.” He answered. What do you mean by Quality time I started.. ”Shouldn’t you spend the birthday with Chae Rim?? She is your future wife.” I started. “Future Wife??? Don’t make me laugh… Getting married to someone I don’t even love is not real marriage.”
He answered. For some reason when he was saying this one phrase he had a face full of pain and sorrow something he didn’t want to happen but no choice but to happen. “If its your wish young master ill spend the birthday with you” I managed to say. “Thank you” was his final reply. That same night I lied down on my bed thinking…. What should I get him for his birthday?? It was two weeks away and I really couldn’t afford to get him anything expensive especially since I just spent a whole bunch of money buying a watch for Sung Min. I thought about it all night and finally came up with a great solution. I was going to throw him a Surprise Party. Since young I always wished to celebrate a party full of surprises and the two weeks was the perfect time.
The days went by fast and our two week spring break started. During the first week I was busy buying ingredients and supplies for the party. I had less time to interact with Tae woo and soon he got suspicious of my actions. “Hey Jung Min!” Tae woo started “yes Young Master…” “About the birthday party umm…” he started “ Sorry young Master, Han asked me to do something so I’m busy at the moment.” I started in a hurry it was now only two days before the great event so I had no time to waste.
